This is not a tech related post, but I just want to say pray for the family of late Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry. Henry died this morning, after spending the night in the hospital on life support. Henry was involved in a domestic dispute with his fiance and as she drove away from the Charlotte home, Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup truck. A 9-1-1 call reports Henry was shirtless, wearing black pants, and banging on the back window of the truck. Henry fell out of the truck somehow. Another 911 call reports he was lying limp, and not breathing. He was taken to a hospital, where he was put on life support and listed as dire. He died early this month at the age of 26. Me being a huge sports fan, was kind of struck by this, though I am not a Bengals fan .So we say farewell to thee Chris Henry, and may you Rest In Peace

Another '09 Christmas Wish List
You've seen so many of them already, but here is another one.
Mac Mini: I've decided to finally make the switch to Mac. And I like the Mini (:
HP 2009m Monitor: I don't really want anything THAT big. If not 20" then maybe 22"?
Apple Wireless Keyboard: I wouldn't want to get a Mac using a PC keyboard. Plus I hate wires.
Apple Magic Mouse: So, this thing seems pretty cool and I'm excited to use it.
While this may not be the most exciting wishlist you've seen thus far, it's still something! I wanted to keep it realistic because I could go way further, but it's stuff I actually hope to get money for for Christmas to purchase shortly after. Thanks for reading. By the way, Happy Holidays everyone!

Note
- If you continue to have problems with this just wait for a jailbreak from the DevTeam. It will work perfectly with NO bugs.
- If your iPhone is Unlocked DO NOT do this guide, its only for a jailbreak. Subscribe to stay tuned for my unlocking guide.
- If you have problems with the program getting stuck on connect to itunes mode(recovery mode) close the program, reboot your device by hold home and power for 20 seconds and try the program again no matter what state your device is in.
- If you have an iPod Touch 3G (if it was bought after September 9th this is a tethered jailbreak. That means if you turn your device off and you want to turn it back on your have to plug it up to the computer and run Blackra1n again to get it to reboot.)
- If your new iPod Touch 2G/3G 8g model number starts with MB it'll work, if your model starts with MC it won't. Go to Settings - General - About to see your model number.

iPhone App: XBL Friends (free)
Last night, while browsing through the App Store, I stumbled across a free app, XBL Friends. The app displays all of your friends from Xbox Live on the Xbox 360 to your iPhone/iPod Touch. It's very handy when your wanting to show off your stats (i.e. Gamerscore or Achievements).
You can keep track of everyone's Gamescores, when they are playing on Live, and what they are playing. For example, we'll go into EnforcedData (my Gamertag) and see what I have done and what I have recently played.
It shows that I last played Uno (which is highly addictive), my rep over Xbox Live as a whole, and my Gamerscore. You can also see how many acheievement points I have gotten out of the maximum of each game.
And if you ever decide to delete someone, simply hit the edit button off the top and select the red button next to the Gamertag in question.
This app is available FREE at the App Store in iTunes.

An OS Ménage à Trois
On Thursday, November 19th 2009 Google unveiled a sneak peak at a new, stream-lined operating system. These are my thoughts. Now, as geeks we have options- OS X, Windows, Linux and all the different releases of the three. It has been, for quite some time an "OS Ménage à Trois". But Google has now jumped onto the band wagon. Me personally, I love the look and feel and the capabilities I have with my OS X machine. It is my perfect OS. (Even though every OS is flawed.) Little is known at this point about the new Google operating system, what we do know is this:
- It is designed as an OS for running web-based apps. To perform simple and easy tasks most non-power users look for in a netbook.
- We are most likely to see the Google OS on netbooks, rather than full versions of Windows Vista or Windows 7 starter that are offered currently.
- There is a significant difference between Google OS & Google Chrome. Although they have an abundance of similarities, they are not two of a kind. Stated by another tech blogger... "Google Chrome is to Google OS as Apple Safari is to OS X". Meaning that this new OS isn't just going to be an add-on for Google Chrome, but a whole new piece of software itself.
- It utilizes and runs off of no physical hard drive. Everything within the OS is stored completely in the cloud, on the Google servers. Much like the servers that run the Gmail service.
Personally, I cannot wait to get a hold of some alpha or beta software of this OS. Just to play with it and see what Google is bringing to the table this time. Please share your thoughts. :]

What would you change about your laptop or personal computer?
Hello, Khahlil here and today I want you to answer my question of what you would change about your personal computer. (Mac, PC..etc)
Well first off, I will tell you what I would change about mine - Acer Aspire 5735
The first thing I would change would be the keyboard. When I am typing I feel very cramped as of the extra numeric keypad on the right, they do offer an upgrade to replace the keyboard without the addition of the numeric pad, although it can get very pricey.
The second thing I would change is noisy left and right mouse buttons. When you first get the laptop, you will notice the mouse buttons are very loud but once you have broke them in, they are reasonably quiet.
The third and final thing I would change would be CD/DVD ROM Drive, although I have the space to open and close my CD/DVD ROM Drive, I would like to just be able to insert a disk, e.g. like a MacBook. But on the other hand it makes it easier to put a varied amount of disks in your drive, with a pull out drive.
So there is what I would change about my Laptop, what would you change?
Leave a comment below telling me, enjoy your week

5 Free Mac Applications I Use Everyday
Mac OS X is known for the awesome Apps that come with it out of the box. But for some of us geeks out there, that's just not enough. That's why I created this list. It's 5 FREE Apps that I think everyone should at-least try. If you end up getting any of these apps, don't be afraid to donate some $$$ to the hardworking developers.
Every site we log into on a computer requires a password. And as any geek knows, you should always have a different password for each. Now if your like me, there's over 20+ sites that require a new password. So how do you keep up with them? 1password. 1password is a simple app that, upon opening requires a master password. Once you enter this password you are greeted with every password and site you have saved. You also get a nice little add-on for Safari or Firefox that, whenever you sign into a site for the first time, asks you wether or not you want 1password to save it. 1password is a an awesome mac app that keeps my passwords secure. You can download it here.
In Mac OS X as some of you may know, just dragging a file into the trash doesn't always delete everything. Using it's drag-and-drop ease of use, AppZapper simply, deletes everything. Upon opening AppZapper you're greeted with a very basic look. When you drop an app into the box, AppZapper takes a few moments, and summarizes what your about to "zap" or delete. AppZapper is a very small and basic app that gets the job done, whenever you need it. You can download it by clicking this.
3. Quicksilver
As a Mac user, I have grown to fall in love with Spotlight. However, it has some times disappointed me. Thats where Quicksilver comes in. Using the keystroke of your choice, (mines Command+enter) like AppZapper, a very basic window comes up. You simply begin to type and Quicksilver does the rest. You can download the awesome app here.
Tinygrab, created by a friend of mine, is a Mac OS X screen capturing monster. By hitting either command+Shift+3, command+shift+4 or command+shift+4+spacebar, Tinygrab takes a picture of the selected area, uploads it to their servers, then gives you a shortened URL copied in your clipboard, all in a few seconds. This is very useful for things like writing this blog post, (this is what I have been using for the scree shots) twitter, AIM, or really anything. You can download ishere.
If you don't have/use VLC, then you're probably not a regular Social Blog visiter. Being one of the most popular free Mac apps, (and one of the best!) VLC is something I can't live without. Quicktime, the video player that comes with all mac is not bad, just VLC is better. Think of VLC as Quicktime on steroids. With the ability to play MPEG, AVI, WMV, WMA, etc. VLC is easily the best multimedia app out there. And it's free too. You can learn more about VLC here, or download ithere.
If you have any apps that you feel should be on this list, leave it in the comments, and I'll be sure to consider it for my next list.

Happy Birthday Xbox Live!
Launched on November 15, 2002 Xbox Live was the next big thing for the video game industry. Today on the eve of Xbox Live's biggest update in awhile, we take a look back to really see the magnitude of the birth of this great giant. Please join me as we wish a very Happy Birthday to Xbox Live!
Verizon suing AT&T over previous lawsuit.
Engadget reported on the 3rd of November this month that phone service provider giant AT&T was suing fellow phone service provider Verizon Wireless over recent advertisements. AT&T claimed that these ads, "mislead consumers." In response to the lawsuit, Verizon has themslefs filed a lawsuit right back at AT&T. Verizon stated very clearly that,
AT&T did not file this lawsuit because Verizon's "There's A Map For That" advertisements are untrue; AT&T sued because Verizon's ads are true and the truth hurts.
As everyone knows, AT&T and Verizon are two HUGE companies. And the way that Verizon wrote in the lawsuit gives off the impression that there not going to back down. You can kinda tell when Verizon says, "The truth hurts."
As an iPhone 3G S user, I use T-Mobile (via jailbreak and unlock). And although we see lots of negative press about it's service, I've been very, very content with it. That said, I do live in the part of New York that has the best AT&T coverage. This story makes you think about what AT&T would do, and is going to have to do, without the iPhone exclusivity.
Have you had AT&T struggles in the past? Horror Stories? Please feel free to leave it in the commens!
Windows 7 Review
Apologies if I am repeating anything, I just wanted to get my own personal opinions across.
So I've had Windows 7 for near-enough a week now, and I thought it was about time I reviewed the Operating-System that Windows claims to be "Vista but Faster".
There are very few problems for me to discuss, but I am a person who enjoys getting the negatives across first. When Windows 7 first installed, the 'icon tray' was using a different setting than what Vista used, it was in a drop-down box. Personally, I thought this was horrible and changed it right away - but the good news is, that's the only bad thing i've encountered!!
It takes a while to get used to the OS, but overall I think it's a fantastic improvement on Windows Vista (That said, I never had any massive problems with Vista in the first place). I think that Aero is a beautiful design, and now that it has been implemented correctly, it does not cause any lag and this, for me, gets a massive thumbs up!
Another thing, probably the most noticeable change, is the task-bar. The new task-bar is very different to what Windows users are used to. It uses images but with no text, and in my opinion this works very well. You can also pin programs/folders to the task-bar in order to access them quickly in the future - which is very useful. I can see similarities to a Mac Dock in the new task-bar, but that said it is still very, very different. If you right-click on the programs that are running, you will get a mini-menu (depending on the program) which gives you some options you can use quickly without even displaying the window. Take iTunes for example, if I right-click on it I am displayed with a 'Recently Played' section, with about 6 songs that I can quickly play right from that very menu. Pretty cool if you ask me! Programs running multiple times, or that have multiple windows are also grouped now - and if you hover over it you will be shown the windows that are running - which is useful. One simply, yet cool thing that I have discovered very recently is that, say you are installing a program and you minimize it to the task-bar. The task-bar icon has the progress bar on it - which is like a green bar going across it as a transparent overlay, and this is another very very useful feature.
Basic Windows programs have been upgraded also. I have recently used Microsoft Paint and I must say its revamp is superb! Basic features have been added which make it so much more user-friendly, and I enjoyed using it. Created a not-so-bad image too, but don't expect it to compare with the likes of Photoshop!
So overall I love Windows 7 and I'm very glad I upgraded - Congrats on a brilliant OS Microsoft!

Left 4 Dead 2 Released
As of Tuesday, November 17th, the highly anticipated sequel to Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2 was released. Of corse I rushed home from school, and jumped into the game. Here are some of my likes and dislikes.
Pros
This game is perfect for die hard zombie fans, or anyone into a good game of blood and gore. The online experience is amazing when you team up with 3 friends and survive the zombie apocalypse. The game also features new game modes, such as scavenge, where you and 3 friends team up, and fuel the generator for more time. Times like the crescendo events in the game, really make you get up out of your seat. This game requires a lot of team work and strategy. Overall, if you do not have a Xbox Live account, I don't recommend this game, it's best when you play with friends.
Cons
I assure you, when you play with the AI in this game, you will get frustrated more than ever before. For example, if you getting pounced on by a hunter, the Ai will be shooting at a tree. They haven't improved since the first Left 4 Dead. Also another problem is lag. Lag is when the game basically glitches, and all hell breaks loose. Further more, despite these cons, Left 4 Dead 2 is a great game, I give it a 4/5.
Happy gaming!
Apple Remote Review
Okay so ,I purchased the updated Apple Remote. I was tired of having to walk across the room to lower or increase the volume of a song, so I thought this would be an inexpensive solution. I was correct! Let me give you guys a quick run down of all the new features this remote sports:
Design:
It seems Apple is slowly transitioning to an all aluminum product line. The new remote has the same aluminum body like other Apple products. This gives it a nice sleek feel when it’s in your hand. But it isn’t slippery when it’s in your hand, which is nice if you’re carrying it around.
Features:
When Apple revamped the remote, they added an iPod-esque click wheel, minus the scrolling in circles. Up and down buttons control volume and left and right control ‘Next Song and Previous Song’ and the center button acts as select button. It still has the ‘Menu’ button which, activates Front Row, and a new ‘Play/Pause’ button which seems to do the same duties and the center button. The back of the remote contains a turn-style battery cover, which is very convenient. The remote still works over IR, which is very convenient because it comes standard on most Macs.
Use:
I did some tests to see how far I could from my laptop and still have the remote work. I was able to get about 30ft until it stopped performing actions. Make sure to have nothing obscuring your view of the IR sensor. The remote won’t work if something is blocking it. Surprisingly, this remote will still work even if it is not in direct contact with the IR sensor. If you point it straight up, it will work but it won’t work if you try using it in the opposite direction of the sensor. Shouldn’t be a problem for most people.
Final Rating:
I’ve had this remote for about a week and after playing around with it and testing and experimenting, I have concluded on a rating of...4/5. This remote is great if you need to control you music from a distance and is especially great if you use your Mac as a media unit. So, if you do things like and you don’t want to walk across the room, it’s totally worth the cheap $19.99 USD from the Apple Store.
I hope you enjoy my review and consider buying the new Apple Remote. Thanks!
Other Windows 7 Goodies!
Ok so you all now know I have Windows 7. Well I wanted to let you in on a few little goodies that it has that are very useful.
Up first is the Snipping Tool. Now how many times have you been looking at something on your screen and wanted to take a photo of it in Windows XP? Plenty of times I am sure. That would require hitting the print screen button then opening either MS Word, Adobe Photoshop, or something else to past that into. Well now we have the Windows Snipping Tool. You simply click on "snipping tool" and then you have a tiny window that pops open and has some options. You will also notice the cursor is now a set of cross hairs. You also notice that the screen now has an opaque or whitish tint over it that you can see through. You simply take the cross hairs and drag them on whatever it is that you want to "snip" or take a photo of. Once you do that the selected area will pop up in a new window and allow you some save options. It will allow you to save this as a .png, .jpg, .gif, or a .mht file that will open up in a browser. I think this is a very useful tool and I know I will get a lot of use out of it.
Second up we have Sticky Notes. Yes now you don't have to download some other program. You simply click sticky notes and one pops up on your desktop. You can write yourself a note and you may also select the color that you wish the sticky note to appear. This is great to throw up some quick reminders on your desktop if you want something simple.
Another item that you have available in Windows 7 is the math input panel. Now this is for use with a tablet pen or tablet pc. It allows you to write your math out and then windows recognizes it so that you can insert it into the proper program. It is an easy way to write mathematical expressions out and not have to guess at which keys to press.
As some already know Windows Paint has been updated and now has a more functional usable interface that includes the ribbon style introduced in Microsoft Office 2007. Interestingly enough Wordpad was also revamped and includes this same design update to the toolbars as well.
If you are one of the ones who said "Where did my windows mail go?!" then you are not alone. I preferred windows mail to windows live mail. I think the client was more robust. At any rate MS has taken this out and opted to make it as a separate download. You can of course download the stand alone email client Windows Live Mail or you can download the full Windows Live Essentials. Live Essentials sort of, at least to me, looks like MS's version of Apple's iLife. It has a photo editor, video editor, chat and such just as iLife does yet it does include the Windows Live Mail Client. If you wish to download any of these they may be found here:
http://download.live.com/
All in all I think MS did a good job revamping and adding in some things with Windows. I definitely love the snipping tool and it was much needed. I also love the sticky notes. As always I love feedback on posts so let me know what you think. I would love to hear from other Windows 7 users on this blog. I am sure there are some including you MAC folks who are running Windows 7 under bootcamp. I would love to hear how that is working for you.
Does gaming on the Apple computers ?
Any Mac user knows very well that gaming options are very limited in OS X. There is a very small amount of games on Mac OSX available. The few games that were designed natively being games such as The Sims series,World of Warcraft, etc and the games that were ported by aspire media such as Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4, Quake 4, etc. don't add up to a large number of options available.
Despite the short number of mac games available, apple is dominating in the portable market with the iPod Touch and iPhone app store. It is very easy to find any caliber of game on the app store.Weather it be a short time wasting puzzle game,an in-depth RPG, or a fleshed-out racer the app store has it.
After Apple's keynote this year, CEO Steve Jobs said himself that Apple intend to market the iPod Touch as a gaming platform. It's strange to see this choice by apple for their media player and not for their range of computers. Every new Mac to some extent is capable of running a lot of modern games and it's not a good thing to see Apple not taking this into consideration.
I am a Mac user and I feel that Mac OS X is a fantastic operating system and definitely the best I've used, but moving from Windows I had to take the loss of gaming. Sure I can still play Spore and World of Warcraft, but I am missing the experience of playing Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress, Battlefield, Burnout, Unreal Tournament, Crysis, etc. Most of these games would run fine on an entry level Mac Mini, and run great on a higher level iMac. With an addition of Steam to run on Mac, OS X would pretty much be the perfect operating system.
Apple Tablet?
The all rumoured Apple tablet to be coming out in late 2010?
The Apple tablet has be in the rumour for many years now. With the tablet pictures leaked from Microsoft earlier this year people have been wondering even more.
Now Digitims claims that the launch Apple was planning on in March may be postponed to the second half of 2010.
Why is this?
There are several reasons why this may be happening. One of them may be that they aren't ready to let it out and they need more time.
Apple is rumored to be working with Foxconn Electronics, Quanta Computer, and Pegatron Technology in the manufacturing of this. There is rumor that there will be two different models. One with a 10.6 inch TFT LCD and the other to have a 9.7 inch OLED screen.
Another reason for delay would be that with the cost of the OLED screen being so high it could bring the cost of that model up to nearly $2000. The 10.6 inch model could be in the $800 to $1000 cost range.
There is also talk that there may be a discount off the price with a 3G contract like there has been on the IPhone in the past.
My thoughts on this are different that I normally feel about Apple products. My first imprison when I saw this was the price. When ever I think of a netbook I think of something that is low in cost. This would be the total opposite if those prices are correct. My other feeling is that when I type on my IPod Touch I like the screen size and how I just have to use my thumbs. Then when I get to my computer I use my whole hand. I just think that that with an on screen keyboard that size it would feel odd to type on. Those are just my thoughts with just what has been rumored. I would love to see this all come true though.
These are just rumors and things can change. This may not be what happens at all or nothing may even happen and there may be no Apple Tablet.

The TwitterPeek: Interesting Device or Epic Fail?
To me the TweetPeek sucks marbles. On 11/03/2009, Peek released a new single-purpose device named the TwitterPeek Mobile. This device follows after the two other Peek devices, Peek Pronto and the Peek Classic, both centered around texting and e-mail. The service was $15.00 dollars a month or you could buy the Peek Pronto for $300.00 for lifetime service. The TwitterPeek is based around Twitter.com, the popular micro-blogging service that seems to be all the rage. The TwitterPeek is going for $99.00 with six months of service or $199.00 for lifetime service. This handheld sounds very neat and handy, but is it really worth it? Especially with all of the applications for Twitter on many different phones. Here are the good and bad features of the TwitterPeek.
The Good
- Ability to access Twitter from almost anywhere.
- No contract
- Great QWERTY keyboard.
- Has almost all the features of the Twitter Website.
- Able to view pictures (TwitPic only)
The Bad
-Doesn't display full 140 character tweet.
- Only loads pictures from TwitPic, no other Twitter photo service.
As you can see here, the bad outweighs the good. Peek had a great idea in mind, but they came far from perfection. The TwitterPeek seems like a interesting little gadget, but is it really worth your money?

New Twitter Built In Retweet Beta Feature
Today, I was looking at some old Twitter accounts I had and had completely forgotten about. When I logged to one specific account, I realized it was prompting me about a new retweet feature. Retweeting has been alive since the dawn of Twitter, but never built in directly to the website. This feature was apperently in beta, and one of my accounts that I had never used was invited to use. This same incident once happened on YouTube with realtime, so it is kid of exiting to be using beta features like these before they come out. On the Twitter website, next to tweets from people following you, a retweet button appears.
Another interesting feature is on your profile, it shows a retweet section, much like the favorites and direct messages section.
If a Mac tablet is coming, what are some possible names for it?
I, and I'm sure a lot of us here on the Techs Finest have probably been wondering is a Mac tablet coming, and what it will be called. We've all heard the strange names people have been calling it. Things like iTablet or Macintouch, well, I've came up with a couple probable names and explanations for them:
- MacBook Touch - This is one of the names I've come up with. Why I call it the 'MacBook' Touch is because it is not necessary that a new touch screen device is going to be a new product in itself, but a new lineup of touchscreen MacBooks. This is very similar to the MacBook Air not being considered a net book, but a laptop.
- Another name I've come up with is MacTouch, or Mac Touch. Unlike the previous suggestion, this one represents a completely new lineup of products instead of a sub product to an existing lineup.
Apple's YouTube Web Ad
Apple is known for their clever advertising schemes, but recently I think that Apple is going a little bit too far. I've noticed that I've been using the Windows 7 partition on my MacBook Pro more and more every day...

How to Start Blogging: A Beginner's Guide
It doesn't seem like rocket science, but blogging does have a few complicated steps. You may think that all you need to do is find a site and write, but you may be surprised at the thought process and work that goes into a blog. Here's a little walk through of the blogging process:
Step One: Get a computer
Go ahead and laugh, but you shouldn't overlook this. The first step to blogging involves having access to a computer, and while there's no shame in using the local library, the best approach is to have a computer you can access 24/7. If you have a spark of inspiration but can't get to the library because it's a holiday, then you're out of luck. However, in this day and age, because you're reading this, I'll assume that you either own or can access a computer regularly.
Step Two: Find a topic you're interested in
Some people use their blogs as a personal diary. (However, those people should also be aware that the entire world can see what they write.) If you're not really into sharing your deepest, darkest secrets with the world, then take a moment to brainstorm and make a list of the things you like. Do you have enough knowledge of a topic that you can write about it constantly? The same applies for topics you dislike. Is there a reason you dislike something? (Now, before you go off and start writing about all your dislikes, I am NOT encouraging you to make a hate blog. That kind of thing can get you in serious trouble.)
For example, I have a passion for technology, so here I am, blogging about gadgets, tech news, and other tech related things. Not to mention I'm writing this tech tutorial for all you guys. :)
Step Three: Determine your target audience
Most people overlook this step. If somone asks you who you want to read your blog, you shouldn't say "anyone that wants to". That's a big no-no. After you think about your topic, think about others that might be interested in that topic as well. Say you want to start a blog about current Hip Hop and Pop artists. Would you really expect people in their 60's or higher to read it? The same goes for if you want to make a professional blog showcasing your business. Do you expect a bunch of teenagers to take your site seriously by leaving comments like "lol nyce post" on it?
Knowing who you are writing for shapes the way you write. I'm expecting tech enthusiasts around the ages of 16 to possibly late 30's to read a majority of my posts. This means that I tend to write a bit more on the professional level, yet I don't want to bore you guys by writing a textbook. (That's why we go/went to school.)
If my audience was a bit younger, then I'd make my language a bit simpler, starting with shorter sentences. Also, visuals help a lot of younger audiences understand your point, so don't hesitate on providing pictures or videos on your blog.
Step Four: Find a site to host your blog
There are numerous free blog hosting sites out there, but two big sites to look out for are WordPress and Blogger. Each comes with its own set of strengths and weaknesses.
Blogger is a site that offers numerous ways to customize your blog. It's compatible with javascript and html widgets, so you can easily integrate your Twitter updates, Google Adsense and other codes. Blogger also integrates with your Gmail account, so you can easily stay connected to all the Google applications you use regularly.
I see Blogger as a better tool for those that want to take their sites to the next level with customization. However, the default blog templates tend to be a bit simple looking and if you're into having a more sophisticated looking blog, WordPressmay be a better option.
With WordPress, you get the ability to choose a custom template and jump right into blogging. (I feel as though the blog templates WordPress has are a bit more unique and, well...I'll be blunt: WordPress's templates look better to me.) The downside though is that the free WordPress sites are not compatable with javascript widgets, so you're stuck with html. If you choose to have a self hosting WordPressblog (in which you pay to keep your blog online), then you're given a bit more customization.
In a nutshell, WordPress provides flashy, showy looking blogs, while Blogger may be a bit simpler looking, yet offer more customization.
Overall, it comes down to preference and what you want to do with your blog. If you just want to pick a theme, sit down and write immediately, then WordPress would be for you. If you're into more customization, then check out Blogger.
Step Five: Update often, but not too frequently
You may have a great idea for a post in your head and can transfer it from your mind to your blog in minutes. Then another great idea may come to your head. Then another. Then another.
Sure, it's good that you're providing your readers with content, but give them time to look at your post before moving on to the next few. If you give your readers a long, carefully thought out post, then they're sure to come back for the next one. If you provide your readers with multiple short posts each day, then they're bound to get annoyed and possibly give up on returning altogether.
In short: Do things in moderation.
Hopefully, some of these points got you thinking. Do you have any blogging tips for beginners to share? If so, share them in the comments!
